Playing downhill to an amphitheater setting at no more than 120 yards, 17 looks like a breather as the player grinds toward the imposing 18th hole. Many players have come to this diminutive par 3 with a birdie on their mind, yet have left shaking their head in disgust, trying to figure out why they can't hit a wedge to a generous unbunkered green. It appears a straightforward shot. Trouble lies over the green, out of bounds has come into play. Short of the green and you may wind up in Concord Hills version of the "Valley of Sin."
